Description
The Whirlwind podDI is a passive direct box that’s purpose built for patching iPods, CD players, Laptops, and any other consumer music device into your mixing console. Like all of Whirlwind’s direct boxes, the podDI is built tough enough to take the rigors of the stage and has handy controls that are easy to use. A stereo 1/8″ jack serves as the podDI’s main input, though it has a stereo pair of RCA input jacks as well. What’s even better is that the podDI’s two sets of inputs run in parallel, so you can use one as an input and the other as a loop-though output to a personal monitor on stage – a real life saver! Also, there’s a pair of attenuators for the left and right input channels, so you can adjust the mix right on the podDI. A single summed XLR output with a switchable ground lift gives you the clear, noise-free sound you need.
