A narrative run of show is a story.

It walks somebody through the day in paragraphs. That’s fine for the host. It’s useless for the audio engineer who needs to know which mic to open at 9:47, the LD chasing a lighting cue, or the video op holding a graphic that should already be on screen.

When six departments need to fire at the same second, you don’t need a story. You need a grid.

WHAT'S INSIDE

Six tabs. One source of truth.

Run of Show grid

Cue-by-cue rows with columns for screens, livestream, audio, lights, and timer. Everyone reads the same line at the same time.

Mic assignments

Who’s wearing what, when. Organized by show phase, with room for speaker photos so the A2 isn’t guessing.

Lighting looks library

Named cues with descriptions and color palettes. So ‘purple wash for the keynote’ means the same thing to you and your LD.

Production schedule

Load-in through strike. Crew calls, truck times, dark hours, the works.

Event overview

Crew roster, venue contacts, room dimensions, power locations. The stuff you need at 6am when something goes sideways.

'How to Use This' tab

Plain English. Every column explained with examples. The only tab with ProCore branding. Everything else is yours to brand.

WHY WE BUILT IT

For years we ran every show off the client’s run of show.

Some were great. Most were a mess. Some clients didn’t have one at all, so we’d show up to a six-figure event and start asking, ‘ok, so what happens at 10am?’

The inconsistency was maddening. Our audio guy and our LD and our video op were all reading three different documents, written by three different people, none of whom were thinking about the technical side.

So we built one. One sheet that ties every department to the same line at the same second. We use it on every show now. This is that document.
